Wordle.net

I am interested in preparing today’s 21st century learners with the tools, perspectives, skills and experiences that prepare them for their futures. More than a prescribed set of software skills or specific technologies I encourage my students to approach technology in a creative, open-ended and imaginative way so as to expand their expressive capabilities.
The ultimate goal that I set for the students is to be able to create an animation, to compose and arrange music, to manipulate images and to publish in any range of media from blogs, wikis, or podcasts comfortably, intelligently and with a critical awareness of the possibilities offered by these diverse media. Through creative and collaborative teaching and learning we can model the kinds of immersive, shared and communicative spaces afforded us by today’s connected communities. -Al Doyle
